I have been set the task of creating this Blog for my second year project 'Wild Kingdom' for my degree course in Hair and Make up for Music, Film and Photography. I am nervous. I have recently transferred to this course from Fashion Styling and feel like I have a lot to learn. However, from the brief I have been given I have begun to feel excited, inspired and competant. I am really intrigued as to what I am going to find in my research for this project and what I will learn on this journey to my final images.
I always like to start my inspiration for a project with simply researching in the dictionary the key words used within the brief . I feel this leads me onto the next stage, I start reeling ideas off in my mind just from the explanation of words. I begin questioning the meaning of the project and I like to have some knowledge and understanding of what the words mean and what it is I am actually going to be studying. I think it gives me a solid, basic set up for my planning and the management of my work.
So here I go. I hope you enjoy this journey with me.
Hello Katie, yes I can sense your nervousness and excitement. It make's an interesting mix at the beginning of a project doesn't it? I always find curiosity, the impetus to learn and an open mind to possible outcomes is the way forward to innovation within design. Please keep this in mind for the duration of the project.
