Idea Development for Editorial.

Tim walker has always been a huge inspiration to me. I remember when I first started becoming interested in vogue and finding his shoots sensational. I didnt take note of who he was and only learnt of his name during this course. It has spurred me on further to become a fan of his work and research images of his in my own time.
I love opening up the page of a magazine and being able to tell instantly that it is his work. I always get really excited to look through the whole story of images.
And that is what his images do.
They tell a story.
He has such an original and distinct way of working. Its truely beautiful. I was so pleased to attend his exhibition at Somerset house in London and it is there that I made the desicion to base my editorial shoot on his style.

Tim Walkers image inspiration

These three above images in particular had me beginning to draft in my mind a set for my editorial shoot. I like the white grey backgrounds and feel that this style would set off my model and look appropriately. I feel Tim Walkers photographs are always based around a story, telling a tale and setting your imagination on an adventure. This is what I want to accomplish from my images. I want the focus to be on the model, make up and styling. I feel I need to research the Makeup artist or artists that work along side Tim in his shoots because I find the artistry inspiring.
